We are looking for a capable, reliable and personable individual or couple to oversee the running of the house and support our guests before and during their stay. This is a varied role involving property checks, coordinating suppliers, welcoming guests, and providing local knowledge and assistance. (Optional: if you are digitally-minded, you might also help us maintain a warm and engaging online presence).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, has a strong sense of responsibility, and takes pride in offering outstanding service to visitors to our region.
Must have: Property Management
- Carry out regular inspections to ensure the house is in good order against our checklists.
- Coordinate and oversee professional maintenance providers.
- Ensure stocks of essentials (firewood, toiletries, kitchen basics) are maintained.
- Organise routine maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
Must have: Guest Services
- Provide a warm, professional welcome (and welcome hamper) for guests on arrival.
- Be the local point of contact for questions or issues during stays.
- Provide a friendly, knowledgeable presence that reflects the quality of the property.
- Provide a friendly check out to guests (and check for feedback and any issues with the stay).
- Conduct tours of the property for prospective guests and weddings.
Optional: Booking & Admin Support
- Respond to booking enquiries (approx. 60 per year) in a timely and professional way.
- Support guests’ planning in advance of arrival by suggesting (and helping to organise) local experiences for guests, such as in-house catering, whisky tasting, surfing, guided tours, boat trips, or dining recommendations.
- Coordinate with the owner and cleaning team to ensure smooth turnaround.
Optional: Social Media & Marketing
- Post regularly to Instagram and/or Facebook, sharing content about the house and surrounding area.
- Help manage the property’s online reputation by responding to guest reviews and questions.
- Occasionally update listings with new photos or information.
