What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional, ambitious Early Excellence Unit Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will not only inspire and support at Holy Trinity but will also join a group of passionate leaders to further develop our organisation together. Your professional development will be bespoke and you will be supported by the Headteacher and Trust leaders to strengthen and hone your leadership skills. You will automatically be part of the Trust’s Talent Management programme where you will have opportunities to grow and develop further.

In addition, and with regards to Leading the EEU, the successful candidate will be expected to:

• Develop the nursery provision from its current term time only provision to offer a year-round excellent pre-school provision;

• Demonstrate a commitment to developing consistent and progressive high quality learning from 2 year olds through to the end of Key Stage 1 and offering an inclusive education for all children through working with staff and families to formulate personal plans for improvement;

• Use a knowledge of the Early Years Development goals and curriculum and understand that the early stages of development have an impact on lifelong learning;

• Work alongside teachers to provide advice and develop impactful class strategies and EYFS pedagogy;

• Monitor and evaluate the quality of continuous provision and develop the outdoor learning opportunities;

• Form positive relationships; inspire and motivate all children to enable them to be the best that they can be;

• Keep up to date and accurate records of statutory assessments and use data forensically to inform improvements;

• Review and update all records to ensure that statutory requirements are met for inclusion of all pupils;

• Work in partnership with the Headteacher, LAB and wider community to ensure that our mission and ethos is translated into action

• Participate in Trust-wide pre-school, EYFS and KS1 meetings;

• Attend meetings with parents, teachers and other early years professionals to ensure all pupils’ needs are met;

• Work with the wider Pastoral Team (Pastoral Lead, SEND Manager, and Nurture Lead) to close the gap for vulnerable and disadvantaged learners and support our wider families;

• In addition to the above the EEU Lead will be expected to carry out any further duties that the Headteacher may deem necessary in line with the role responsibilities.
