Be Part of Something That Matters.

At Thera Trust, we believe that the people we support should have the loudest voice in shaping the quality of their care. Our Quality and Involvement Team is unique – a peer-led group where people with lived experience of learning disabilities and/or autism assess and improve the support others receive.

We're looking for someone passionate, empathetic, and organised to join us as a Quality and Involvement Supporter. This is more than a job – it’s an opportunity to create real, positive change.

What You'll Be Doing: Quality and Involvement Supporter (Care) - Nottinghamshire

As a Quality and Involvement Supporter, you’ll partner with our Experts by Experience – individuals who use their lived experience to ensure care is truly person-centred. Your role is to support them in delivering quality checks, engaging with individuals receiving care, and gathering meaningful feedback.

You'll:

  • Work side-by-side with Experts by Experience during care observations and assessments
  • Support group events and workshops to capture the views of those supported
  • Build relationships with individuals across services and empower their voices to be heard
  • Help document and share findings that drive improvement
  • Work flexibly, including virtual and in-person engagements

What We’re Looking For: Quality and Involvement Supporter (Care) - Nottinghamshire

  • A solid understanding of what good, person-centred care looks like
  • A natural advocate for dignity, independence, and inclusion
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities/autism (professionally or personally)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, quality standards, and community inclusion
  • Strong communication skills – with people of all backgrounds and needs
  • Organised, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing your schedule

Ideal Experience & Qualifications:

  • NVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • The Care Certificate, or equivalent, lived/family experience
  • Experience in a care or support setting is a plus

Why This Role is Special: Quality and Involvement Supporter (Care) - Nottinghamshire

This is a flexible, purpose-driven opportunity to work with passionate people and make a tangible difference. You'll help ensure that people with learning disabilities and autism receive not just care, but the right care. You’ll grow professionally, support an inclusive movement, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
