As a Skip Wagon Driver, you’ll operate our HGV Class 2 chain lift skip lorries, delivering and collecting skips across Liverpool with precision and care. This rewarding role suits drivers who excel in customer service, reliability, and teamwork, with opportunities to earn more through overtime, a signing bonus after 6 months, and performance-related bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate HGV Class 2 skip wagons to deliver and collect skips for residential, commercial, and construction clients.
Provide exceptional customer service with timely and professional deliveries.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and comply with tachograph, Working Time Directive, and waste regulations.
Collaborate with our team to meet schedules and uphold OB Skips’ high standards.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
Current Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
Strong work ethic, excellent attendance record, and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Preferred (Not Essential):
Experience with chain lift skip wagons or similar HGV Class 2 vehicles
2+ years of HGV driving experience Experienced HGV drivers preferred, however we welcome new drivers and provide full training.
Familiarity with Liverpool and Merseyside roads – we’ll help you learn the routes!
No Skip Experience? We provide comprehensive training for motivated Class 2 drivers.
