Crynodeb
The successful applicant will need both formal and informal teaching experience with a knack for sparking young people's imagination and curiosity. Strong communication skills are key, along with the ability to manage groups effectively while encouraging questions, investigation, and idea sharing among young learners. It's crucial that you can adapt your delivery to cater to diverse audience needs, including working with young people who have SEND requirements.
A genuine interest in history is a must, along with a passion for sharing Chelmsford’s rich local heritage. While knowledge of best museum practices (like object handling) is desirable, we're really looking for someone enthusiastic about working in a museum setting. Experience using museum collections in an educational context would be beneficial too.
