Job Title: Contract Solicitor
Ref number: Luton 111766
The team are seeking an Interim Contract Solicitor to join an in-house local authority legal team to play a vital role in ensuring the council operates within the law while enabling innovation and value in public service delivery.
Skills & Experience:
Must be a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive qualified in England and, in the case of solicitors, hold (or be able to obtain) a current practising certificate
In depth knowledge of English Law
In depth knowledge of Contract Law
Post qualifying experience in contract law
Significant experience of effecting major property work of all types with limited supervision
Experience of effectively managing resources to achieve value for money and provide a high-quality service
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and evaluate business risk, and to present legal risks in the context of the client’s needs.
Ability to manage a mixed caseload of commercial and residential property matters that would be considered to be highly complex and/or organisationally high profile with minimum of supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
