Start Date: 1st September 2025The LA and Governing Body wish to appoint a committed and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work as part of a dedicated team to support the new Severn Primary School Specialist Resource Base for pupils with complex learning needs
We are a thriving, vibrant and caring school with 450+ pupils on roll. All of our staff are great team players with a shared vision for excellence and inclusion, acting as role models for all of our pupils.
You be part of our school family and you would be part of a whole school team of over 50 staff.
Severn SRB opened in March of this year and already supports a class of 10 pupils with complex learning needs. A second class is due to open from September 2025 for 10 more pupils with complex learning needs. The successful candidate will support both classes.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with emotional and wellbeing needs children in a primary setting, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to establish effective working relationships with children, staff, parents and other professionals. Good standards of literacy and numeracy are also essential. The successful candidate will also be required to cover classes on a weekly basis so the SRB class teachers can attend training and access their planning, preparation and assessment/leadership time on a weekly basis.
