Student Services are looking to appoint a Specialist Mentor in Mental Health and/or Autism.



The successful applicant will provide one-to-one practical and emotional support, which is specifically tailored to vulnerable students to enable them to access their course, succeed at their studies and engage as fully as possible with student life. This could include a range of issues, but is not limited to, coping with anxiety and stress situations, how to deal with concentration difficulties, time management, prioritizing workload and creating a suitable work-life balance. In addition, support with independent living skills and practical living may be required.



Salary - For every student you support, we add 30 minutes of pay for the admin time required for the role (total pay of £22.68) This can include note taking and inputting student data on Microsoft Excel.



The university is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. However, the successful candidate would be expected to work on one of the three campuses (Cardiff, Pontypridd, or Newport) for part of the week.
