Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00)
Contract Type: Temporary (05/05/2025 – 15/06/2025) will be extended for the right candidate.
Neway International is looking for a Finance Accountancy Officer to join Conwy County Borough Council’s Education Finance Team. This role provides essential financial support to Headteachers and Governing Bodies, ensuring smooth budget management and reporting for schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with budget setting, monitoring, and reporting in line with the Service Level Agreement.
Support financial projections to maximize resource effectiveness for schools.
Conduct school visits to provide expert advice on budget matters.
Investigate and resolve queries from schools, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Maintain an accurate Financial Reporting System and ensure compliance with VAT regulations and financial policies.
Skills & Experience Required:
Accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) or experience in financial management.
Strong understanding of local government finance procedures.
Excellent numeracy and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
Ability to communicate financial insights effectively to school leaders.
