This is a new role and team, meaning the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape Army security, making it fit for the future threat landscape.

As the Security Performance Management and Lessons Analysis you will manage the development of security lessons and data analysis process and any relevant tooling needed to support those processes. Your main responsibilities will include:

Own, write and review Army policy and processes for all aspects of Security Performance Management and Lessons analysis, including security lessons escalation and management through the Army, keeping up to date with changes to policy and legislation that may affect branch outputs
Develop and maintain relevant tooling, ensuring compatibility and integration with wider Army and Defence tooling, where relevant
Draw on various security, counter intelligence, and resilience data sources to measure the performance of the branch, and security compliance and culture within the Army
Engage with Army and Defence counter parts to drive improvement across the relevant functions
Develop, maintain and implement a training & development plain for all members of the Security Performance Management and Lessons analysis team
Draw on the outputs of the Security Performance Management and Lessons Analyst to fulfil the role of Functional Lessons Analyst for security lessons
Advise the Personnel Security Advisor (PSyA) in their role as the release authority for Army security incident data
Prepare responses to Subject Access Requests (SARs), Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, Ministerial Questions (MQs), Parliamentary Questions (PQs), in relation to security incidents, and staff through Army Secretariat in accordance with relevant processes
Responsible for drafting responses to requests for security, counter intelligence and resilience data and information, including FOI's, MQs, PQs, criminal and civil investigations and advising the Principal Security Advisor in their role as the release authority
Provide input to and peer review relevant content in Army and Defence training, education and awareness materials
Support Army and Defence intervention activities
Support Army Security Culture improvement activities
Lead the Security Performance Management and Lessons Analysis team, regularly reviewing and providing direction on priorities and standards
Provide written and verbal briefs up to Ministerial level, as appropriate
Build and maintain relationships with relevant organisations and individuals with Army and other TLBs and Defence
Co-ordinate recruitment activities within the team, ensuring compliance with Army and Defence policy and processes
Line management of 2 x Higher Executive Officer, Civil Servants

If you are a strong communicator able to engage with stakeholders across government, work efficiently and at pace, across multiple IT systems and security classifications, we need you!
