PMB Solutions are recruiting for a skilled Manual Press Operator to our clients team based in Aston, Birmingham.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various press machines to produce high-quality products. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Press Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor press machines, ensuring they function correctly and efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
Assemble components using hand tools and basic fabrication techniques.
Handle materials safely and effectively, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery or production processes.
Utilise CAD software for design modifications as needed.
Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the manufacturing environment.
Experience
Proven experience as a Press Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
Familiarity with hand tools, mills, and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
Experience with materials handling and welding techniques is advantageous.
Knowledge of logic controllers is desirable for operating automated machinery.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
