Summary
Do you have a passion for supporting the holistic development of children and young people through creative and outdoor learning opportunities? Forest Way Special School has a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Level 3 Forest School Practitioner to join our newly established Forest School Provision Team.
We're seeking an exceptional individual who is eager to contribute to the growth and delivery of a vibrant Forest School experience for our young people. You'll play a key role in helping our students thrive through engaging outdoor learning opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
• Contribute to the development and implementation of our pioneering Forest School provision.
• Work collaboratively within a small, skilled team of trained practitioners.
• Support groups of pupils in accessing our woodland and Forest School area.
• Plan, prepare and track pupil progress using the Forest School framework.
• Lead engaging lunchtime and after-school outdoor learning clubs.
• Participate in regular meetings and training to enhance your skills and our provision.
Who we're looking for:
• Someone with experience in delivering high-quality Forest School sessions to children and young people, ideally within a SEND environment.
• A practitioner skilled in using a range of total communication strategies to support the diverse needs of learners.
• You must hold a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner Qualification and a Paediatric Outdoor First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain these prior to starting).
• You will also need an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent/higher relevant qualification (e.g., A Levels or a relevant degree).
