An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Family Care Worker, based at the 3 Towns Children and Families Locality Team. Reporting to the senior family care worker and team manager, the successful candidate must have the experience of working with vulnerable children and their families. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. IT skills are also an essential feature, with the ability to updates case records, and be available for early morning work, and at times into the early evening. Weekend working is an essential component of the post, working on a rota basis. The post has a key focus on early and effective intervention, working from an assessment of needs written by the child's social worker, after using the Signs of Safety framework. A plan of intervention and support over a 6 week period is initiated and reviewed. The 3 Towns Locality Team is a community model, and has excellent links with all local agencies. The team really support each other and are committed to ensure the highest standards of service delivery. The team has a wide array of experience and skills, and the successful candidate will benefit from this, with regular supervision and a comprehensive package of training.
