Crynodeb
To be responsible for leading, managing, strategically developing and delivering a specialist pharmacy service to patients requiring biologics. To clinically screen prescriptions for biologics and high-cost drugs. To manage and provide clinical support to the Homecare Team. To ensure compliance with best practice and medicines legislation within the relevant areas including homecare To provide specialist advice regarding the use of biologics for all patients across the Trust and facilitate good prescribing practice in these areas. To lead work with the specialist nurses & consultants to implement timely biosimilar switches to maximise savings to the trust. To lead work with the specialist nurses & consultants in setting up biologics review clinics to review long term patients prescribed biologics.
