Summary

Children’s home Registered Manager
Up to £50,000 per annum
Melbourne, Debyshire
40-hour week, 9-5 on average. 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

· To Manage the daily running of the children’s home(s) in line with company policy and regulatory requirements. Supervising and providing guidance, support, direction and leadership to staff.
· To Model best practise approaches during challenging behaviours, ensuring there is coherent and consistent high levels of care.
· To Register as a Manager with OFSTED and to work directly with and as part of the senior management team for the best interest of the young people, staff, and company.
· To be Designated safeguarding lead

Experience

1. Experience of working with children with LD and Complex needs or Mental Health
2. Previous recent experience working in a residential care provision for at least 2 years
3. Care Management/Supervision level experience of 2 year
4. Experience in providing and supporting in debriefs for staff who work with challenging behaviours
5. Experience in providing supervision for staff
6. Experience in managing complaints
7. Following a training and development plan for the home and self
8. Learn and adhere to Ofsted 9 Quality standards for supported accommodation
9. Willing to go through the OFSTED registration and experience in OFSTED inspection process, with direct knowledge of this process 10. Previous successful experience listening to, advocating for, and engaging with decision making processes for young people with their appropriate choices
11. Experience leading meetings, setting agendas etc

Qualifications

1. Relevant Management qualification such as level 5 Diploma in leadership and management or equivalent
2. Relevant Social Care qualification such as NVQ-level 5 or equivalent
3. Willing to work towards the next appropriate level of qualification and any further courses and training seen relevant by the company
4. Up to date safeguarding training.
5. DBS on update service
6. Relevant NVQ/ Level 3 Diploma or equivalent
7. Pass registration with OFSTED
