THE BEST CONNECTION, SCUNTHORPE are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Power Pallet Truck (PPT) Operative to join our warehouse team. As a PPT Operative, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating power pallet trucks to transport goods and materials within the warehouse. Your role will ensure smooth warehouse operations, timely stock movement, and order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities Operate Power Pallet Truck (PPT) Safely operate a power pallet truck to move pallets, stock, and materials within the warehouse. Load and unload products from trucks and into designated storage areas. Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and organization. Ensure proper stacking of goods on pallets to avoid damage and maintain safe transportation. Stock Management Assist with inventory control by moving goods to the appropriate storage locations. Conduct regular checks of warehouse stock levels and report discrepancies to management. Assist in conducting cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Order Fulfillment Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely shipping. Coordinate with the warehouse team to prepare products for dispatch. Ensure orders are loaded onto delivery vehicles in a correct and organized manner. Safety and Compliance Follow all safety regulations and warehouse procedures, including safe operation of the PPT. Perform daily pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order. Report any equipment faults or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor. Adhere to all warehouse health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. Warehouse Organization Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and work areas. Ensure that goods are stored properly and clearly labeled to avoid confusion or errors. Assist in re-organizing the warehouse as required to improve efficiency. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly. Provide assistance to other warehouse staff when required. Help with training new staff on the use of power pallet trucks and safe warehouse practices. Qualifications Previous experience operating a Power Pallet Truck (PPT) or other warehouse machinery is preferred. PPT License or certification is highly desirable (may be provided by employer). Good understanding of warehouse processes and inventory control. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of safety regulations and warehouse health and safety protocols. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move goods weighing up to [insert weight] pounds. Ability to stand, bend, squat, and walk for extended periods. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures.
