You will love this job if you are seeking career development opportunities that can help you grow and build your nursing career. you have a passion for supporting patients by promoting health and well-being within the practice population, and you are able to carry out all relevant tests required to ensure patients such as those with long term conditions, or those that require tests as part of other medical conditions or referrals are supported. You will be a key member of the practice team, ensuring that the patient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible and will collect sample(s) of blood in accordance with protocols and procedures, ensuring samples are stored in appropriate containers, accurate and legible labelling of all samples to confirm patient identity, checking patient identification against GP/nurse request and confirming with patient wherever possible, recording collection of blood sample in patient record in accordance with practice procedure, ensuring that samples are dispatched to the appropriate laboratories in a timely fashion, ensuring that anomalies are reported to a senior member of staff, notifying the clinical team of any significant patient issues and undertake training and development as required in line with the responsibilities of the post and practice policies.
