About the role: Vocational Trainer in Media & EsportsWe are looking for a passionate and inspiring Vocational Trainer in Creative Media Production and Esports, within the Creative Industries and Createch Faculty based across our City of Oxford and Blackbird Leys Campuses.The Vocational Trainer role is incredibly varied, where each day can be very different to the next, blending a wide range of responsibilities, which include:Carry out Technician duties, organising the equipment and studio spaces for the Media Studies area, checking in/out kit for students, managing booking system and tracking resources, ordering equipment, ensuring safe working practices.Delivering student facing lessons, supervise practical workshops, support and deliver student Tutorials / 1-1s, provide feedback and guidance for students to make progress.Working collaboratively with faculty team to map out and plan the projects/Schemes of Learning and lesson plans. Support with standardisation of assessments.This post provides an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner, technician or developing teacher with passion and drive to enable our students to unlock their potential. You have the ability to expose students to a wide range of skills including: filming, editing, animation, visual effects, research techniques and more.The role is 29.5 hours per week (0.80 FTE) split across our City of Oxford College campus and Blackbird Leys College campus.What do you need to be successful as a Vocational Trainer in Media & Esports with Activate Learning?Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree in Media Studies, Film Production, or relevant field.
