This is a great job opportunity for an Income Community Housing Assistant to join Home Groups awesome National Income Collections Team.
Working with national colleagues, customers and external stakeholders you’ll support the business with Income Protection providing a brilliant service making sure our customer promise standards are achieved.
You’ll use your creative and accountable spark to make sure our income collection work streams and processes are followed, and income is maximised.
Typical day as our Community Housing Assistant
- Speaking to former customers in relation to collecting former tenant arrears via our FTA procedure and the resolution of accounts. Internal and external queries in relation to former tenancies.
- Verification of Universal Credit information required for customer claims along with answering internal & external queries in relation to Universal Credit. Alternative Payment Arrangement requests supporting Housing Managers to protect our income and reduce rent arrears
- Supporting current tenant arrears by assisting Housing Managers to serve notices of seeking possessions and applying and administering legal arrears case management cases.

You bring
- A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, able to work on your initiative.
- A real passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
- Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners.
- An understanding of housing management, housing law and universal credit would be ideal, but they’re not deal breakers!
- The ability to use technology to navigate our systems and update customer records.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.
Job details
- This is a hybrid role with a mix of home and office working.
- There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
- You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
