Humbercare is looking for an exceptional Head of Human Resources to lead our HR function into its next exciting chapter. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our organisation while championing our most valuable asset—our people.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead from the front as the primary point of contact for all HR communications across the business.
Inspire and empower the HR team, ensuring day-to-day operations are seamless and aligned with the highest professional standards.
Champion compliance as our Data Protection Officer, overseeing all regulatory responsibilities with confidence and integrity.
Support and develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Drive excellence across all HR processes—from employee relations and staffing to training and policy management.
Act as an ambassador for Humbercare, promoting exceptional customer service and embedding our core values in everything you do.

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum CIPD/ILM Level 5 qualification in HRM (with a willingness to work towards Level 7).
Associate Membership of CIPD, CMI, or ILM.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Experience

At least 2 years' experience in a human resources role.
Proven experience in leading HR teams and working with external professional bodies, including legal advisors and insurers.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong working knowledge of employment law, including data protection, equality, and health and safety legislation.
Broad expertise across all core HR functions: recruitment, employee relations, payroll, L&D, employee engagement, welfare, and HR systems.
Ability to implement effective HR policies and procedures aligned with best practices.

Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
Resilient and adaptable under pressure; able to give and receive feedback constructively.
Comfortable with asserting ideas, making quick but rational decisions, and developing creative solutions.

Salary - £42,000 per annum
