You'll be working closely with other Council departments, contractors, Councillors, and the public, delivering schemes in line with national standards and Reading Borough Council’s Local Transport Plan.

As part of the role, you will also be supporting teamwide responsibilities including the support of intelligent transport systems (including operation of Reading’s Urban Traffic Management & Control centre) and event co-ordination and support (e.g. Reading Half Marathon and Reading Festival).

A proactive, positive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience of working in a busy office environment (preferably in transport, highways, or parking, but not essential)

The role will involve working outdoors as well as in the office. It will be preferable that the applicant has a full, clean driving licence, although the ability to travel using other transport modes will be encouraged.
