About the role
This Level 2 Teaching Assistant position is an opportunity to work part-time within a forward-thinking secondary setting, supporting the learning and development of students across Key Stage 3 and 4. The role is varied, fulfilling, and crucial to ensuring that no child is left behind. You will work under the guidance of teaching or senior staff to support pupils-either one-to-one or in small groups-inside and outside the classroom. This includes helping students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), social, emotional or behavioural needs, and personal care where required.

Salary: £18,834 - £20,074 per annum (Pro Rata, 32.5 hours/week)
Contract Type: Part-Time, Maternity Cover
What we would like from you
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Understanding of the secondary curriculum and how to support learning

Key Responsibilities
- Implement teacher-planned learning activities and interventions
- Support students in understanding instructions and tasks
- Provide learning support to pupils in various subjects
- Offer personalised assistance for SEN students
- Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour
- Prepare learning materials and resources
- Help with the care and hygiene needs of pupils where necessary
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupils' progress
- Contribute to planning, reviewing, and evaluating learning programs
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals as needed
