Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Highway Inspector to join our Highways Maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing the condition and safety of highways, ensuring that they meet regulatory standards and safety requirements. As a Highway Inspector, you will conduct thorough inspections of roadway surfaces, bridges, and ancillary structures, documenting any deficiencies and recommending corrective measures. This position requires strong analytical skills, as you will be tasked with evaluating construction materials and various maintenance processes. You will work closely with construction crews, engineers, and local authorities to enforce compliance with safety regulations and provide essential feedback for continuous improvement of highway conditions. Your expertise will also help prioritize repair work and infrastructure upgrades, ultimately contributing to the safety and efficiency of our transportation system. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for public safety. You will play a crucial role in promoting the safety and reliability of our highways, ensuring that they continue to serve the needs of the community effectively.

Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of highways, bridges, and road surfaces to assess their condition.
Document and report defects or safety hazards found during inspections.
Collaborate with maintenance and repair teams to develop action plans for addressing identified issues.
Review construction plans and projects for compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Monitor ongoing construction projects to ensure adherence to approved designs and specifications.
Provide recommendations for repairs and maintenance based on inspection findings.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photographs and written reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in highway inspection or related infrastructure maintenance.
Strong knowledge of highway construction materials, processes, and safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

End Time: 17:00
