Job Summary:

The Floor Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth operations within the dining area, overseeing guest experiences, managing the front-of-house staff, and maintaining high service standards. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the ambiance and efficiency of the restaurant floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day management, ensuring all guests receive excellent standards of customer service.
• Oversee the smooth flow of operations within the restaurant floor.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure that all orders are served as per the customer’s specifications.
• Manage, supervise, and coordinate front-of-house staff, including waitstaff, hosts, and bussers.
• Provide ongoing training and mentorship to ensure that staff maintain high service standards.
• Schedule staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for busy periods.
• Setting the standards for efficient and fast paced service, mentoring and developing the team to achieve excellence.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists, optimizing seating arrangements for maximum capacity and efficiency.
• Oversee and manage cash handling, including checking out customers, ensuring correct billing, and processing payments.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the restaurant.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Floor Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and culture is highly preferred, with an understanding of common dishes and dietary preferences.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A working knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
