Barnardo's is commissioned by Wiltshire Council to deliver out of school activities to children and young people with SEND on Saturdays and in the summer holidays .
We are looking for a sessional play organiser to lead our team of play workers to deliver clubs on one or two Saturdays per month in Bradford on Avon or Trowbridge and some clubs in the summer holidays .
You will be responsible for providing fun , safe activities for up to 12 young people who have a range of physical and behavioural challenges . You will be required to work 9-5 on each club day and also to attend occasional training and staff meetings outside normal working hours for which you will receive payment.
You will work as part of a large team with access to training and regular support.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a working knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety practice for this group of vulnerable young people, together with an ability to engage with parents and carers to ensure children's voices are central to our service delivery.
