Salary: £12.75 per hour
Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 5 October 2025
Hours: This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible.
You'll be working regular weekend days, as well as bank holidays and days in the week. The number of days worked per week will vary from 1 to 3, depending on the time of year and team commitments.
Interview date: Thursday 22nd May
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a team of 7 Welcome and Service Assistants. You will also work with colleagues in the outdoor, retail and food and beverage departments as necessary. You'll be working in the open air and be based in our Welcome Hut in the car park, but may work across the site as necessary. Flatford is a large site and so you can expect to work in other areas too, such as our overflow car park and Bridge Cottage.
Flatford is the destination for thousands of visitors each year, ranging from local dog walkers to international tourists. People are drawn to the beautiful scenery and the connections to the famous artist John Constable.
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, including programming and events.
Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.
