1:1 Teaching Assistant for Year 4 Child (ASD & PDA Profile)
Location: Uckfield, East Sussex
Hours: 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM (Part-time)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Temporary with the potential to become permanent
Randstad, in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Uckfield, is seeking a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 4 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile.
The Role:- Hours: 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
- Support Focus: Working one-on-one with a child in Year 4 who has ASD and PDA.
- Challenges: The child can exhibit challenging behaviors and requires a patient, understanding, and consistent approach.
- Long-Term Commitment: This role has the potential to transition from temporary to permanent for the right candidate.
- Resilience: The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Experience: Prior experience working with children with ASD, PDA, or other SEN needs is highly desirable.
- Patience and Empathy: A nurturing approach to help the child manage their behavior and achieve their full potential.
- Commitment: Willingness to work with the child on a long-term basis, ensuring stability and trust are built.
