We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and customer-focused Bar & Restaurant Staff to join our team at The Causeway Hotel. As part of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining and drinking experience to our guests. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and a team-oriented attitude. The role requires working flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, on an 8-hour rota basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel welcome, valued, and well-cared-for.
Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring that all dietary requirements and special requests are met.
Serve food and beverages in a timely manner and in accordance with company standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar and restaurant areas, including clearing tables, cleaning surfaces, and setting up stations for the next service.
Ensure bar and restaurant areas are fully stocked, and work with the team to maintain inventory levels.
Process payments using the POS system, handle cash, and provide change as necessary.
Engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction and handle any customer queries or complaints in a professional manner.
Work effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
Maintain a positive, cooperative, and professional attitude when interacting with both customers and team members.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Flexible and willing to work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
A good understanding of food and drink service standards.
A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work within a team.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service and alcohol service is a plus.
