What skills and experience we're looking for
Successful music teaching experience at either primary or secondary level
Evidence of professional development relevant to this role
Successful primary music teaching experience at EYFS/Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
High level of musicianship and performance skills
Competent keyboard skills with ability to accompany ensembles, assemblies and liturgical services
Outstanding classroom practice, consistently showing a positive and resilient approach topupils and staff
Good knowledge of legislation and guidance on curriculum requirements
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies and understanding of how children learn
Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils, staff and other stakeholders
Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
