Key Requirements:

Previous clerical or administrative experience in a busy office environment.
Strong data entry and IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and document management systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.



The purpose of the role is to provide efficient and effective clerical support to the Client Finance Team. This role is essential in assisting with the processing of Financial Assessment forms, managing client-related correspondence, and ensuring accurate data handling. The postholder will support the delivery of timely financial assessments and liaise with key departments and service users.

Key Responsibilities:

Use the Document Imaging system to scan, index, and electronically manage incoming documents.
Process incoming letters, emails, and submissions via the online Financial Assessment tool
Handle queries from service users of Social Care via telephone in a professional and helpful manner.
Collaborate with Adult Social Care, Transactional Services, Corporate Debt, and other internal Council teams to resolve individual case queries.
Assist in the processing and completion of financial assessments, ensuring service users are informed of outcomes in writing.
Accurately input and update information in Council systems, maintaining confidentiality and integrity of client data.
Process routine changes of circumstances in specific claim types in accordance with defined procedures.
Support the wider Client Finance team with clerical duties as needed to ensure service efficiency and continuity.
