Matthew Moss High School is looking for a Teacher of History (with opportunity for Pastoral responsibilities) to join the Humanities Faculty and Leadership team. We are a growing school and we are looking for someone to make a real difference to the young people who attend our school.

*This role can include pastoral responsibilities as Second in Family with a TLR payment. When applying, please specify whether you are interested in the Teacher of History position only, or the Teacher of History role with the additional TLR*

As Second in Family, you will play an important role in creating a warm and caring environment where our learners can excel pastorally and academically. You will be responsible for supporting a Head of Family in leading a team of Form Tutors to deliver excellent Pastoral Care and CHANGE PSHE Curriculum. You will support learners (and their families) by identifying barriers to learning and how to remove them. You will work closely with the Deputy and Assistant Headteacher to shape the whole school pastoral experience.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about the quality of education our young people experience

• Somebody who thrives on responsibility and hard work, and wants to develop themselves
• Able to use your own initiative
• Willing to go the ‘extra mile’ for our young people

This post would be suitable for both experienced and Early Career Teachers.
