Summary
The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hard-working, team player, who will join us in the role of an Attendance and Admissions Manager.
Salary: NJC Grade 7, SCP 26-30 (FTE £36,124 to £39,513) actual salary approx. £33,310 to £36,438. Negotiable dependent on experience.
Purpose of post:
To contribute to the development of a strong, effective school with an emphasis on promoting a culture of educational excellence. To achieve a high level of attendance and punctuality, and to work with the community and local primary schools to co-ordinate admissions across all year groups, including Transition.
Main purpose of the job:
- To support the Strategic Attendance Lead to improve and maintain attendance rates
- To actively promote attendance within the community
- To make home visits to our school community in-line with our Attendance policy
- Liaise with the Local Authority in regards to attendance figures on a regular basis
- To coordinate and be responsible for all processes, communication and documentation in connection with all aspects of the school admissions process
- To coordinate and be responsible for Transition, from offer day through to start date including parental and Primary School communication, attendance at Open Evening & Transition Evening
- To be responsible for the Census target and meet the deadline date
- Liaise with the Local Authority to co-ordinate all admissions
- Be responsible for the exemplary maintenance of student records relating to attendance, punctuality and admissions.
- The role will involve working within the pastoral structure and the school administration team as required.
