Summary
The post holder will work independently in a variety of community and where necessary in acute settings, providing a high standard of quality clinical care showing the knowledge and skills needed to meet the competencies for a band 6 Podiatrist. You will assess, diagnose, develop and implement individualised care plans for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs, including but not limited to acute and chronic complex long term conditions (LTC), chronic diseases, vascular and wound management. You will be expected to work with Specialist leads to support care plans. You will be expected to plan and manage caseloads. You will ensure effectively screening patients, providing assessments and treatment plans for People with Long term disorders, Rheumatic Inflammatory disorders, Learning Difficulties, Stroke , Mental Health and physical health disorders within all clinical care settings and provide educational opportunities to both podiatry and other health and social care staff and patients alike to promote an understanding of Long term conditions and the importance of foot function for people affected by LTC, dysfunction or Progressive Conditions. You will autonomously assess, manage, treat, educate, train others and help create pathways for complex caseloads with the Specialist leads, consisting of and including patients with: acute and chronic diabetic/non diabetic foot problems, pre and post-operative amputations wounds and acute and chronic neuropathic, vascular foot/lower limb problems, rheumatological problems, immunological problems, dermatological problems, neurological problems and mental health problems using appropriate diagnostic techniques, knowledge, skills and tools.
