Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Lawyer - Housing & Disrepair (PO7) to join our dynamic legal team. This role is pivotal in providing expert legal advice and representation in matters related to housing law, specifically focusing on disrepair cases. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services to our clients while adhering to relevant legislation and professional standards. In this position, you will play a vital role in advocating for tenants' rights, helping them navigate through complex legal issues surrounding housing disrepair. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including landlords, local authorities, and other legal professionals, to facilitate resolutions that serve the best interests of our clients. Your expertise will be essential in contributing to policy development and legal reforms within the housing sector. Additionally, you will oversee and mentor junior solicitors and paralegals, sharing your knowledge and fostering an environment of continuous learning. Responsibilities
Provide expert legal advice on housing and disrepair matters.
Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings related to housing disputes.
Manage a varied caseload of housing disrepair cases from inception to resolution.
Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings and agreements.
Advocate for tenants' rights and promote access to justice in housing issues.
Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and external parties to achieve effective resolutions.
Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support staff in the housing law team.
Requirements
Qualified solicitor or barrister with a current practicing certificate.
Significant experience in housing law, particularly in disrepair cases.
Strong advocacy skills with a proven track record in court representation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage a diverse and demanding caseload effectively.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with housing legislation.

Pay Per Hour: £33.80
