Are you looking for an amazing opportunity to be a part of an incredible journey at Barnes Farm Primary School? We are seeking a skilled Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil on a 1 to 1 basis but also working with small groups of pupils in the classroom setting. The post is for 5 days a week (17.5 hours) Monday - Friday, 8.45am - 12.15pm. This post will be a fixed term contract ending on 31st August 2029. In this role, you would be working within a fantastic, supportive and welcoming team. Applicants will need to be enthusiastic, positive and able to work on your own initiative as well as follow direction. You will work in partnership with class teachers and the SENCO, to support learning in line with the National Curriculum.·

We are looking for a candidate who has:

Experience of supporting children in a school setting · Strong behaviour management skills · Able to support the child's medical needs and willing to deal with intimate care needs · Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs · Is able to demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times · A commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves · Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills · Good standard of education: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent. Good knowledge of ICT · Flexibility and a good sense of humour · The ability to use their own initiative · Willing to undertake training and support individual needs.
