Crynodeb

This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you experienced in supporting apprentices and/or students who are learning while working? Do you have communication and administration skills and the ability to manage your own workload? Would you like to work with learners and their sponsoring employers to enhance personal and professional development, monitor progression and set goals?

The Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) works to widen participation at the University of Leeds, especially in relation to mature learners. The Centre offers the Chartered Manger Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) for managers and is designed for management professionals operating in a range of settings.

You will arrange and conduct tripartite reviews with individual apprentices and their mentor/ sponsoring employer. Integration between academic and professional learning is a key feature of the programmes, as is support for participants in the acquisition of skills for success in higher education. You must have relevant experience of working with apprentices and/or students and a strong record of working with learners from diverse backgrounds. You will need to arrange online meetings and complete appropriate paperwork in a timely manner. Apprentices are taught through block delivery and guidance work on the portfolio will be provided during some on-campus sessions during blocks of teaching and in between blocks

Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions. For more information please visit: www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa
