Administration Assistant – Grade 3
Permanent – 20 hours per week . Term Time Only equated pay £11,505 per annum
Greasley Beauvale Primary School are seeking an experienced administrator to support the general day to day running of our busy school office.
Whilst experience of working in a school office environment is desirable, we also welcome applications from those with experience in other sectors whose skills would transfer well into this busy and varied field of administration.
Acting as first point of call for telephone, email and in person enquiries, no two of your days will be the same. In addition to reception duties and administrative duties, you will also take responsibility for a range of pupil focused administrative tasks including the coordination of educational visits and overseeing parent and carer correspondence. You will also assist the School Business Manager in some elements of financial administration.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Teacher and Administration team and will:
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to deliver the highest levels of service to staff, parents, children, governors and other stakeholders;
• Be self-motivated, quick to learn, and flexible using initiative when necessary.
• Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise their own workload in this busy work environment;
• Have administration experience and be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and accuracy when handling pupil and personnel data;
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills;
• Be able to confidently handle financial matters including resolving issues and offering support to the Business Manager;
In return we can offer;
• A happy and welcoming working environment.
• Professional and supportive colleagues.
• Training and development in school specific systems and processes.
The hours of work will be 9.45am- 1.15pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and 8.30 am- 3pm (Wednesday). There maybe an opportunity to increase hours in the future.
Our school is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Barring check along with relevant employment checks.
Visits to the school are welcomed. Please email the School Business Manager, Emma Poxon, call the school office to arrange a visit. Completed application forms and letters of application should be addressed to the Head Teacher and Governing Body of the school.
Closing date for applications 9am on Tuesday 13th May. Interviews will be held on Friday 16th May.
