A school in Suffolk is seeking a dynamic Music Teacher to join a vibrant Expressive Arts department. Whether you’re orchestrating full ensemble performances or guiding individual creativity in the classroom, you’ll help students discover and develop their musical talents. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Music Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality, inspiring music lessons
Teach a broad range of musical styles, genres and instruments
Develop students’ confidence in performance, creativity and analysis
Prepare pupils for practical and written music assessments (GCSE/A-Level if applicable)
Lead and support extracurricular ensembles, choirs, or productions
Promote music across the school and within the local community
Contribute to the development of a rich and inclusive music curriculum
Maintain a positive, organised and well-equipped learning environment
Ideal Music Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Music or a related field
Strong practical musicianship and confident delivery of music theory
Experience working with a range of musical abilities and interests
Enthusiastic, innovative approach to teaching and learning as a Music Teacher.
Ability to inspire pupils in both academic and extracurricular contexts
Experience preparing pupils for performances or exams (ABRSM, GCSE, etc.)
