We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of cargo, including flatbed loads.
Duties
Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload cargo, including securing flatbed loads appropriately to prevent shifting during transit.
Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering traffic conditions and road restrictions.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered on the road.
Adhere to company policies regarding safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Previous container experience required.
Experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
