We are recruiting a confident and knowledgeable Kitchen Porter to join our current team at Cannonball Restaurant & Bar. This is a permanent contract for 30 hours a week at £12.21 per hour plus tips! We are looking for someone who can start immediately, we have hours as soon as tomorrow.
We are looking for someone who is hardworking and committed to supporting the kitchen team with all elements of cleaning and hygiene duties, including some food preparation.
All our kitchens buy directly from over 70 artisan suppliers and receive daily deliveries in the growing season from our very own kitchen garden. We have 3 Bee Hives with over 50,000 bees and when nature has been generous we are able to share the honey and the honeycomb with the kitchens.
To join our team you must be willing to work diligently in a fast paced efficient kitchen and have strong teamwork and communication skills. You will be assisting the kitchen team by cleaning kitchen equipment and ensuring excellent food hygiene practices are observed. You will be contributing to a happy, efficient and knowledgeable working team and environment.
We are a family-run business with three award-winning restaurants in Edinburgh City Centre: Contini on George Street; The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant at the Scottish National Gallery on The Mound; and Cannonball Restaurant & Bar. All our venues offer something different, this allows us to offer working flexibility. Our contracts can offer flexible hours, days and shift patterns to meet the needs of a healthy work life balance.
When you join us you'll get:
Free meals before and during shifts
Generous tips paid via TRONC (£2-5 extra per hour)
Access to an Employee Assistance Programme with Hospitality Action and a Health and Wellbeing Coach and a Mental Health First Aider
A wide range of team benefits, including free food and tea/coffee, discounted meals for family and friends and cake/dinner on your birthday/work anniversary.
