Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility and excellent time management skills.
Duties
Operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients upon delivery.
Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
Mechanical knowledge is advantageous to assist with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
Experience in logistics or transportation would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
