KAVS is a national award scheme which recognises and rewards exceptional contributions by local volunteer groups across the UK. KAVS sits within the Honours system and is the highest award which a voluntary organisation can receive; the equivalent of an MBE.
We are looking for a highly-capable individual with strong organisational and project planning skills, and experience of stakeholder management, to help with the delivery of KAVS. You will be supported by the KAVS Administrator on the administration and smooth running of these awards.
The Honours & Awards Team is a highly collaborative team, working together and sharing workload during peak times to ensure they meet deadlines and quality expectations. The KAVS role will include:
- Leading the delivery of the annual KAVS round, ensuring all project deadlines are met and continually working to improve existing processes;
- Supporting external stakeholders on the KAVS nomination process, including almost one hundred of His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenants across the UK;
- Liaising with the Royal Household, No.10, the KAVS Chair and National Assessor Committee Members;
- Developing Forfeiture and Complaints Policies;
- Managing supplier contracts to ensure value for money is achieved; and,
- Drafting submissions and briefings.
