SEO HR Systems Analyst – Role Overview

The Shared Service Strategy for Government sets out the Government's plan to transform Shared Services across the Civil Service and to achieve this five clusters have been formed across government. HMRC, including VOA (as an executive agency of HMRC), DfT and MHCLG have been brought together into one cluster, known as Unity​​. The Unity Programme includes the implementation of a new SAP HR, finance and procurement system.

This role has been created to support the Agency’s transition to the Unity system; to take forward VOA system functionality and data requirements for the Unity system, specifically leading the implementation of position management which we don’t have in our current ERP and will be a significant change to our ways of working. Experience of HR systems, position management and workforce reporting will be a fundamental part of the role.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the transition from the Agency’s current ERP HR system to the Unity system and acting as our position management subject matter expert.
  • Working collaboratively with HMRC and VOA colleagues to determine cluster wide position management processes, datasets and reporting.
  • Leading the implementation and bedding in of new position management processes within the Agency, which will include stakeholder engagement and communications.
  • Working collaboratively with Heads of Profession and senior leaders to sign off the Agency’s job role catalogue.
  • Managing the collection of position management data required for the Unity system and manipulating data into the required format for upload.
  • Supporting HR system integration, data migration and user acceptance testing.
