Join Our Clean Team – Work for the Council!
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for a skilled and reliable Experienced Road Sweeper to join our client’s Street Cleansing team. This key role helps to ensure our streets, parks, and public spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.
Main Duties:
• Operate mechanical road sweepers and other cleansing equipment throughout the district
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report maintenance requirements
• Assist with litter picking, removal of fly-tipping, and emptying public litter bins
• Work to scheduled routes and respond to operational needs as required
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and council procedures
Requirements:
• A valid Class 2 HGV (Category C) licence
• A current Driver CPC card
• Previous experience operating road sweepers or similar vehicles is preferred
• Good level of physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather
• A dependable team player with a strong work ethic
