Little Legends Nursery is an independent nursery in South Reddish near Stockport. As a family run nursery, the owner managers are 'hands on' and supportive, group sizes are small and everyone in the team is passionate and genuine about providing our families with an excellent childcare service.

We are looking to recruit a professional, friendly and motivated Early Years Practitioner to join our amazing team.

The ideal applicant will be warm and caring, motivated, enthusiastic and keen to make a positive impact in lives of young children and their families.

You will need to hold a Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Early Years and will need to have a thorough understanding of the EYFS and experience of carrying out the key person role.

The role will include covering in various difference rooms across the lunch time period (10.45 - 2.30 daily). Cover will be provided for Level 3 practitioner, therefore suitable applicants will need to be able to maintain the high standard of care across the lunch time period and will need to be confident to work with children across the age range of 0-5 years.

The ideal candidate must be willing and open to engage in continuous professional development as Little Legends Nursery is committed to further staff training and continuous professional development. Little Legends Nursery works with all members of staff providing regular reviews, support and training opportunity's.

Exact rates of pay are dependent on qualifications and experience.

Person Specification

Essential
A recognised Early Years/ Childcare Qualification to Level 3 or above.
A current pediatric first aid certificate
Experience in a similar role or in an environment working closely with children.
Excellent communication skills.
A detailed understanding of the EYFS
Team Player.
Health & Safety awareness.
Self-Motivated.
Able to work under own initiative.

Desirable
Experience in safeguarding children.
Experience in supporting children and families with additional needs.
Current food hygiene certificate
