BCS Connect is working with a leading precision engineering company in Dudley, and we're looking to recruit an experienced XYZ CNC Setter with hands-on knowledge of Siemens controls.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, well-established workshop producing bespoke, low-volume components across a range of sectors. If you have a strong eye for detail and the confidence to work from engineering drawings, this could be your next long-term role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate XYZ CNC machines using Siemens controls
- Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and job specifications
- Set tooling, speeds, feeds, and offsets for each job
- Machine components to tight tolerances, typically in one-off or small batch production
- Perform quality checks and first-off inspections using manual measuring equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Support team members and contribute to continuous improvement practices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Setter, specifically on XYZ machines
- Confident with Siemens control systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Skilled in manual measuring techniques (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- A flexible and reliable approach to work
