Summary

Estimator - Civil Construction and Groundworks - Ebbsfleet area

We are currently looking for an experienced Civils Estimator to join a leading civil engineering contractor in Ebbsfleet. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and groundworks projects with a business known for its quality delivery and strong pipeline of work.

You'll play a key role in pricing tenders, preparing detailed cost estimates, and contributing to winning new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for civil engineering projects

  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation

  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing

  • Attend pre-tender and client meetings as required

  • Support the bid team in tender submissions

  • Identify risks and opportunities within the project scope

  • Maintain accurate cost databases and tender records

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an estimator within civil engineering or groundworks

  • Strong understanding of tendering processes and cost planning

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
