Interim Senior Finance Analyst - Housing

Pay Rate: £34.27 per hour PAYE

37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

This opening assignment is for 6 months

City: Wembley, London

Basic DBS disclosure (Valid 12 Months)

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you’ll act as a business partner to support subsidiary housing companies, providing high-quality financial reporting and business planning. In this role, you'll help drive informed decision-making through timely analysis and insight, contributing to the delivery of affordable, well-managed housing and strong financial performance.

You will report to the relevant Head of Finance. You will also provide officers and senior stakeholders with high level professional advice and make a positive contribution to the delivery of the service.

Key duties:

Produce regular financial reports and analysis to monitor performance and support operational oversight.
Conduct investment appraisals to evaluate the financial viability of proposed developments and acquisitions.
Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and company boards to support key decisions.
Develop long-term financial models and projections, including maintaining the 30-year business plan.
Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting standards and support funding discussions with stakeholders.



Key requirements:

CCAB-qualified accountant
Evidence of significant relevant continuing professional development (CPD)
Experience of working in housing finance for a similar organisation e.g. Council, subsidiary housing company or registered provider of social housing.
Experience of preparing accounting statements and statutory statistical returns.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain complex financial issues to non financial managers, Directors and Members, adapting style to suit the audience
Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and influence skils
Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and inspiring junior staff and building effective working relationships at senior levels across the organisation and with partners
Ability to analyse, interpret and report upon large amounts of complex financial, accounting and output information and to analyse complex business processes.
