Job Title: Domestic Helper
Location: Stanningfield, near Bury St Edmunds
Rate of pay: £15.65 per hour
Hours / days: 4 hours per week, on Monday and Thursday – to be worked around late morning or early afternoon.
About the role
I am a 30-something female looking for a positive, friendly and hard-working person to help me with domestic chores that I find difficult and/or painful due to my joint problems.
The ideal candidate should be reliable, adaptable, have an eye for detail and work to a high standard independently. They will be required to clean my 2-bedroom bungalow and perform other general household tasks. Please note there is no personal care involved in this position.
General duties and responsibilities will include:
Hoovering
Dusting
Mopping
Cleaning the kitchen and bathroom
Making my bed/changing bed sheets
Person specification:
Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post.
Essential:
Good organisational skills
Reliable
Hard working
An eye for detail
Adaptable
Ability to work to a high standard independently
Summary terms and conditions:
The rate of pay for this position £15.65 per hour
4 hours per week: Monday and Thursday – to be worked around late morning or early afternoon; start time to be agreed.
Overtime will be available
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement)
The post is subject to the following:
A satisfactory enhanced DBS check is required for this position, the cost will be covered by the employer
Post is subject to a 3-month probation period
The successful applicant will be required to provide details of two referees from recent employers
