This role requires you to have a minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a relevant service area or a level 6 management qualification. You will also be required to hold a Security Industry Authority Licence.

The Role

Are you interested in shaping and managing the operations of our Building Services? You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering a long-term strategy that supports the Council's wider priorities, including community safety and service excellence.

You will be responsible for a diverse range of services, from Security, Cleaning and Building Support. You'll ensure effective coordination, performance, and compliance across the board.

You'll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, ensuring strong governance, and developing an efficient service model that balances internal delivery with third-party partnerships.

Are you a strategic and forward-thinking leader with a strong operational background and a passion for delivering high-quality, customer-focused services? You bring significant experience managing complex service areas, budgets, and contracts and are confident navigating both internal stakeholders and external providers.

Your leadership style inspires teams and drives accountability, and you're comfortable managing change, risk, and performance in a dynamic public service environment. Most importantly, you're committed to making a tangible impact on the safety, well-being, and daily experience of the communities we serve.
